Commissioning a custom pet portrait is a straightforward process designed to ensure you receive a drawing that exceeds your expectations.

Choose your Photo(s)
Select a photo, or better still multiple photos. that reflect your pet's personality or in poses which mean a lot to you.
High resolution, high quality photos are obviously better. However, if you have a photo that is less than perfect, but is a photo you treasure, then send it. You may be surprised what I can do with it.
Tip: The best pet photos are usually ones where the photographer is taking photos at the same level as the pet - eye to eye!
Select Your Size
Select a size of the artwork. The standard size is 5" x 7" which works perfectly in a 8" x 10" frame with a mat (highly recommended).
Tip: If you want a much larger piece of artwork then you should know that we scan the final artwork at a high-resolution and can have giclee prints made. What is a giclee print? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gicl%C3%A9e
Place Your Order
Contact Paul through the contact form or by phone. Share your chosen photograph and discuss any specific details you'd like emphasized. Paul will provide a quote based on size and complexity.
Tip: The best pet photos are usually ones where the photographer is taking photos at the same level as the pet - eye to eye!
Send Your Photo(s)
Paul will provide a way for you to send your photos. Digital photos are best and can be send using a free account on wetransfer.com, or he may provide an online folder for you to upload your files to.
Tip: If you have physical photos they can be mailed. The photos will be mailed back after we have finished the commission , along with the final artwork.
Creation
Once the commission is confirmed, Paul begins work on your portrait.
Each drawing is created by hand using premium archival ink and acid-free paper.
The process typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on complexity and current commission queue.
Review & Approval
Before finalizing, you'll receive a high-resolution photograph of the completed drawing for your approval.
Delivery
Your finished portrait is carefully packaged and shipped to you, ready for framing.
Framing recommendations are included with each order to help you display your artwork beautifully.

Art-pieces will be delivered ready to be framed in an appropriate standard sized frame.
