After spending years doing portraits of domestic moggies for friends, I decided it was time to upgrade to the big cats.
Enter the lion. I based this drawing on a photo I took during a visit to London Zoo.
They call the lion the "king of the jungle," which is quite funny when you think about it, given that lions don't actually live in jungles. Still, there's a certain regal arrogance about them that I hope comes through in this drawing.
